It's been suggested before, and got denied. Mostly because of things like iron_man suit: it tends to get tagged for stuff that isn't clothing.

Then the tags need a proper cleanup.

Those aren't suits. Those are armor.

Maybe, but if it gets aliased, it'll be far harder to clean up in the future. Suits of armor will keep getting tagged as suits.

Then there's space suits, diving suits, etc.

Also, we never quite figured out if fursuits (which sometimes get tagged as suit) should count as clothing or costume. The opinions were split evenly, if I remember correctly.

...maybe it'd be best to just disambiguate suit, and move formal suits under formal_wear and the rest under their own tags. But with over two thousand posts, that'd be quite a project.

I'd happily tackle it myself, but I'm currently busy correcting the tags I erred in making regarding furred_dragon scalie.
