Reason:

Pads is usually used as the shorthand of pawpads.

Looking through the posts I see it's also being used for padding (which only has 2 posts and no wiki). Clean up required?

My guess is at least some of it is mistagged elbow_pads, knee_pads etc. Probably accidental leaving out of the underscore. Scanning through it visually, I'm seeing quite a few where no actual pawpads are visible, so a straightforward alias may not be the best for the long term solution. So yes, cleanup might be better. Do we have any better tag than pads for athletic pads like that character is wearing on their upper body there?

ETA: @Mutisija: I agree. I've seen enough pawpads on humanlike hands and feet to be sure that implication is causing some chronic mistags on things which aren't supposed to be tagged with paws. Implication of pawpads to --//--> paws is now deleted.

Most of the pads in shoulder_pads are shoulder_guards though

There's still a ton of mistagged hindpaw out there from the long-standing (pun unintended) feet -> hindpaw alias as well.

Cleaned up pads and approved since they were mostly* pawpads anyways.

Because like stated above, people tag pads for the accessories. The turtles tend to wear knee_pads and elbow_pads. Personally, I would expect to see the accessory when I see the tag "Pad."
