Reason:

This is actually what most uses are about: peeking penis bases from low-riding or pulled bottomwear. Other uses are usually better fit for something else, and in fact what one would assume to be the common use is clearly poking_out+wardrobe_malfunction, and is thoroughly undertagged anyway (most instances are probably better fits for barely contained in any case)

(I'll be trudging through the tag to remove stuff that should be tagged with something else.)

So penis_slip was intended to be tagged for something similar to poking_out, but it also got mixed in with "showing the base of the penis, but nothing else" which you are using penis_base to mean. I think I understand.

penis_base doesn't seem very intuitive to me, but it's probably good enough for a working name at least, and is definitely better than penis_slip.

I think manually pruning penis_slip and aliasing it to poking_out might be another idea worth discussing. It seems like the "slip" part is more of an accidental/incidental sort of thing, whereas penis_base seems more deliberate.

When I looked at it way back I'd say something around 60% of stuff was equivalent to penis_base. That seemed seemed to point at a rough consensus that if penis_slip was something separate from poking_out/wardrobe_malfunction (both of which had a LOT more uses and had clearer use cases), it had to be what I'm tagging as penis_base, and I went through the entire tag to clean it accordingly before I proposed this renaming. Since then I've used penis_base exclusively when tagging new pics.

As it happens, since penis_slip is not a particularly well-known tag, there's not much to be pruned from it IMO. Is it an option to first alias to penis_base to get automated renaing, and chage the alias to poking_out later on?

Oh no. It's just I haven't tagged many pictures with it.

I use it for new taggings only atm, but I haven't moved existing stuff. I figured if the alias was accepted, moving the stuff in advance was pointless work.

Approved alias for both to poking_out

Due to a misunderstanding of the request, I've deleted the penis_base -> poking_out alias and restored the posts it was tagged under.

I'll be going through and trying to recover the ones that were tagged penis_slip to move them over to penis_base, but feel free to use penis_base in the meantime.
