There was an attempt to consolidate these two back in 2019, but it was deleted. Is there a reason why?

The combined "Shin Megami Tensei Persona" label is not used outside of Japan, and Atlus has stopped using the combined title in marketing after the PSP rerelease of Persona 2: Innocent Sin.
Also, the "Persona 1" title is not used in any official sources: In Japan, it was "Megami Ibunroku Persona", and "Revelations: Persona" in the English original, then "Shin Megami Tensei: Persona" in the PSP rerelease.
Is there a reason a reverse alias (megami_tensei_persona -> persona_(series)) was never proposed?
