Had this particular scenario play out with the piece
above! Seems like a very vocal part of the Soul Calibur
Fan base want nothing to do with sexualization towards guys.
Ivy and Soph' lewds every day but heaven forbid there's a
pec, Dood

Just a big bummer to get that reaction, One of my favorite
games as quite a player base behind it. But, hey. I thought
I couldn't have been the only one in the world to have made
something only to have massively misread the room and have
a mob at your door, Dood~!

Seriously though, this reminds me of the fanon "true pairing" types for specific franchises. They will of course scream about it being canon, and insult everyone's intelligence, their moms, their pets, their shoe size, if people look at them like they're crazy.

Tl;Dr They're always someone with a hair trigger, and sometimes they hang out together.

Oh Dear! "Fanon True pairing" sounds like a phrase that's thrown like a ninja star,
at anyone wanted to see any other pairing. Made my day a little brighter
knowing that I didn't run a foul with those peeps too, Dood. =‿=;)

All you can do is laugh at them and continue on as you will. After all, you liked it, so while maybe the community you thought would like it didn't, someone did, and that makes it worth it.

Just sucks to have the wind taken from your wings like that. May

Sounds like the community you made it for is a bunch of pissbabies, if they're mad over your artwork they probably deserve to be.

Don't bother making stuff for their tastes and instead make them for yours.

To me it looks great. Smooth animation, well drawn, great presentation imo. i dont judge peoples work for the theme. if it looks good then it is good.

you most likely just got a bad crowd of people looking at your content. i would just ignore them tbh. if you enjoyed it then it was worth it. and there are many people out there that like that kinda content.

keep your chin up and do what you do best! ;)

Spent weeks making one of my peeps into a fully functional Fighting game character
and the Only comments I got on it in the fighting game Subreddit was:
"Gross." and "Oh my god, why is he in a thong!" Not steamed as much about it now,
since I'm at peace that I'll make them eat their words by keeping the
Fighter Project going-

But.

Does the fighting game community have something against Male Sex appeal
or maybe furries, specifically? Sonicfox may be gamer of that year but
did people accept him as such? Now that I think back on it, Wasn't
there actually a lot of controversy there, Dood?

as long as one person likes it, or might like it, then you should consider it a success :)
