it'd be nice if we could just like, click a spot to create a generically sized note box. then tap either its top-left or bottom-right corner to move or resize the box by tapping a second time.
I was able to make notes happen on mobile by using a wireless mouse
I had a USB to USB-C adapter that came with the phone to connect the mouse dongle to the phone and voilà
wireless keyboards also can work instead of the popup keyboard but I think there's a specific compatibility to use Bluetooth or use the adapter although I haven't checked if using said keyboard can also allow you to do notes
just the special setup for the wireless mouse

We're aware, and we will fix it. I just have a million things I need to deal with & I haven't had the time to get to this yet.

I tried using an Apple Magic Keyboard it didn’t work but it could just be me being new to adding a note.

As said, the issue is that the event to create the note is a mouse event that isn't fired on mobile; I have no idea how a keyboard could trigger it unless it's a fancy keyboard with mouse buttons on it. I'd ignore that & just use a mouse instead. On review, I'm not sure they even tried making a note with just the keyboard; they just said they were able to connect a keyboard & use that instead of the on-screen one.
