create implication steaming_cup (44) -> steam (34836)
create alias steaming_mug (7) -> steaming_cup (44)
create implication steam_from_ears (20) -> steam (34836)

Reason: I just uploaded the everything pinkshinyhorns that wasn't on here already, and I tagged steaming_body a lot and noticed some inconsistencies.
This is an attempt to do something about as many as possible. This is as exhaustive as I alone was able to do. (I put *steam* in the tag search.)

rambling

I also just realized while looking at the wiki for steam, a lot of that could have been tagged musk. However the term entirely escaped me at the time.

------------------------------

Should steam_lines imply steam?

------------------------------

I changed

imply steamy_breath -> steam

into

alias steamy_breath -> breath

Update: I just did the same for steam_breath and steam_from_mouth.

------------------------------

BELOW IS A MASSIVE TANGENT ABOUT THE UNALIAS

I am mildly vexed by urine_steam being currently aliased to steam, rather than implying steam. My annoyance is due to having just put up post #6166561 and not finding a good existing tag.
Yes, I get that if someone wanted urine_steam they could look up urine steam, however that picks up occasional incorrect results such: as post #5966583 which has mouth_steam rather than urine_steam; post #33572339 which takes place in a public shower; post #4699002 which is a comic page wherein the steam is coming from a cup of coffee.
Not to mention a strange number of those results seem to... imagine steam? Like post #5740353 and it's 3 child posts wherein if there is steam, it is definitely urine_steam but seems so in the mid-ground as to be, not there? I feel like I'm going blind or something because, I don't see any visible steam.
Point is,

unalias urine_steam -> steam

and

imply urine_steam -> steam

afterward (unless they can be done simultaneously).

create implication steaming_feces (45) -> steam (34836)
create implication steaming_feces (45) -> feces (21962)

Reason: steaming_body already implies steam, so here's everything that should imply steaming_body (and/or shouldn't have both a -y and -ing tag)

rambling

Sorry about the feces tags. I had to put them somewhere.

------------------------------

Should the convention be -ing? I need a reason for it to be if so, since the -y tags are the more popular ones. And if we stick with -y, should steaming_body be turned into steamy_body?
I feel that the body should be -y, and everything else should be -ing.

------------------------------

I feel like there should be a tag... steamy_crotch so that I stop trying to alias all of these into steaming_body... I found a tag steamy_genital so I'm going to update it to steamy_genitals and co-opt that for this... should it be genitals or genitalia?

------------------------------

I'm not for sure if steamy_anus should imply steamy_butt.

Reason: I noticed some things that weren't water vapor steam directly, so I put them in a third BUR for cleanliness.

Rambling

Steam_heart does not imply steam_writing.
I'm not sure if steam_writing should imply steam...
And a lot of steam_writing should have steam_heart if steam_heart doesn't exclusively mean a heart_symbol in the air made entirely out of steam, and can include making a heart_symbol on glass via one's breath or other local water vapor.

------------------------------

There are several tags *steampunk* that I'm not sure should imply steampunk, such as steampunk goggles, steampunk_lolita, steampunk_bondage... okay that second one should. It already does.

------------------------------

Update: Found a new tag project. The tag shower_steam has only 1 tag under it right now.

Rambling

I know what I've done, and I don't retract it yet but THIS is what I think of when I think "STEAMING"
post #4481069
I might have to change half of everything because of this realization... steamy is the aura of steam, steaming is extremely active. Damn the granularity of the English language that such a conundrum of... linguistics(?)... oral ta... verbal taxonomy(!) can happen.

I'm going to let this sit. I've done too much for the moment. I'll be back... tomorrow.

Updated

I want some input on this:

Steaming to me reads more as blowing out steam, like a steam engine driven train does, or a nuclear power plant stack, or a character in a cartoon with steam coming out of their ears because they are steaming_mad.
Steamy reads to me as more almost like... hot fog, you can see it coming off the object from something more like minute force of energy difference entropy. I think musk would be an appropriate term to describe most of the steamy images on this site, such as the art of pinkshinyhorns whose works inspired me to make this BUR in the first place.

Either way I feel like it would be better to pick either steamy or steaming and go with that all the way for all these tags.
I lean more towards steaming since it does better imply the projecting of steam, which is generally applicable to nearly every post to which steam(y/ing) tags are or would be applied.

I'd rather have more input than just myself though. It is a lot of tags covered here.
