Topic: anyone else hate the "oh wow this is awful" comments on fetish posts?

i see them more on other sites but they're just really annoying :/ i just needed to put this out there yk? i just saw a comment that was like "oh god what am i looking at" (paraphrasing) and like. seriously? the blacklist is RIGHT THERE. just put the stuff you don't wanna see there and MOVE ON. ugh. sorry about the rant I'm just annoyed

It's literally against the site rules. It can get you a record for disruptive behavior and refusal to use blacklist.

At least, that's what I got when I was annoyed that a post containing pedophilia wasn't properly tagged and thus slipped through my blacklist, and made a comment I shouldn't have.

It depends on the comment. A lot of the time they're intended to be humorous, but due to some combination of unoriginality and mean-ness tend to fail.

Sometimes though, even when they're not (intentionally) funny I do get a kick out of people's reactions to drawings.

My least favorite subgenre of these comments is "whoever made this is mentally ill" and its variants.

Please report these when you come across them, as Eldfjall said, they are against our rules

For simplicity's sake, you can report the first rulebreaker on a post and then point out the others in the same report. If one particular User is consistently making inappropriate comments across several posts, report one of them and mention they've done this on multiple posts in the report.

Absolutely. Proper protocol if you stumble upon something you dislike is updating your blacklist and moving on, not yucking other peoples' yum.

yeah. i dont wanna be that guy but the blacklist isnt that hard to set up, especially with how tag implications and aliases work which will mean whatever things youre seeing will most likely get blacklisted as long as its tagged correctly. sometimes i disable my blacklist for a bit to see what people are posting and/or to make really fucking unfunny jokes, but if i see something i REALLY dislike then i will just re-enable it and move on. simple as that fr fr.
