Is there a place you guys get your poses and positions? Usually I just use saved game character poses and augment them.

I use Blender to make my reference images and I go to porn image sites for sexual positions. For Blender, I use their official human base mesh asset pack and rig them.

Ooooo~ Blender's a good one! Tried using it for this
doodle so I could get a good look at Wendell's face-
-but, For the life of me I couldn't find a way
to hide the wireframe, Dood!
Wendell Fortnite Model!
So I ended up just going to the wiki,
And not only did they have his face but
A clear shot of his squirrel friend too, Dood!
Really gotta do more Fortnite characters
with references like these, Dood!
As for the poses, it's 50/50.
50: Rad pose comes to mind I wanna capture the best I can.
50: See a rad pose online and try my best to capture the idea it made without looking at what made it.
(I wanna try out the rad pose for myself; I don't want to copy it, ya know, Dood? ╹‿╹)
For general bodywork questions, love those step-by-step, sketch, tutorial images, Dood~!

I don't even know of any good sources. Sometimes I even have to get on the floor or get in front of a mirror, do the pose myself, and then draw from mental notes because I couldn't find any good pics on Google.

Depends on what I need. Online resources for posing or style references, wikimedia commons, physical anatomy text books, dildos, a tub of modeling compound, and photos of myself are all things I frequently use.
Any program or app with 3D models works well. I know there are also websites where you can pose a 3D model, but I haven’t tried them — my own programs are enough for me. In some of them, you can use multiple models at once, add scenery, put objects in their hands (for example, a sword), and adjust the lighting source.
I also know there are special websites that collect a huge number of NSFW pose references, but I think those are paid services. I don’t use photographs, since working with a 3D model is more convenient for me.
And sometimes I look at artwork by other professional artists as references for specific body parts or backgrounds — to better understand how things should look in a drawn form.
Honestly I just get an idea for what I want in pose's and use the 3D models in CSP to pose them.
As for backgrounds or objects either google, my own photos, or I found magazines can be a good reference too.
If Im trying to chose fashion then Pinterest. I know there is a lot of AI on there though but it's still useful for fashion ideas since my own style can at best be described as "about to go on a job site" and at worst "do you own anything without food and paint stains".
Three-D models are very useful for getting poses down, but references of real life subjects (including just looking at the real thing) are essential for the simple reason that they show how the real body interacts with its environment, especially when it comes to gravity. One well-known artist I follow once mentioned that she watches porn for that very reason.
although i havent made anything yet i either take pictures of me doing whatever poses i need or just google them
I've used DesignDoll for particularly tough poses for like, 10 years now lol. A lot of the poses I come up with don't have photo references that are easy to find so I just like to make them myself. DesignDoll has the bonus of being free and relatively simple to use compared to more in-depth 3D programs like blender, but I did use blender for this image:

GOOD photo references are also increasingly difficult to get one's hands on due to the invasion of genAI in search results. It's currently best to use 3D references [for shapes/perspective] and refs you make yourself [for how stuff actually interacts with the world] or dedicated stock photo makers like Adorkastock.
