It states that post #6247498 is an inferior duplicate, but it was a dubbed version with sound, not just an inferior of the original post #6045943 (Jax porn warning). This deletion doesn't make sense to me. Is it that direct dubs of still images aren't allowed on the site? (Also apologies, I don't know if posting the post number like that will link to them. If there is a way to link to a post like that I'm not familiar with how)

Adding audio often falls into "trivial edits" territory, I think? Edits deemed trivial are not allowed.

There's multiple reasons. For starters, e621 is primarily a visual booru, so sound generally doesn't matter. For a sound edit to be kept, it needs to add something to the work. A mere recital of a static comic or picture is just a trivial edit.
Even if a simple sound edit was enough, the picture was manipulated. The bar for a sound edit's acceptability is higher than for the original silent version. For starters, the sound edit's visuals must be at the same quality or higher than the original. In this case, the original is a regular static .jpg. It being a .jpg pretty much puts paid to any edits, period. .Jpg is a lossy format which means there's compression damage no matter what. Resaving it in a lossless format won't do diddly to the compression and only bloats the file size unnecessarily beyond what the addition of sound and fading in of an otherwise static picture adds.
On top of that, the .mp4 is 1076x720 compared to the original's 2581x1726. That's much smaller and the most obvious dealbreaker right there.
Nevertheless, if you disagree with a deletion, the proper course of action is to politely take it up with Lead Janitor Strikerman. Normally, you'd message the deleting Janitor and politely ask them, but in this case, that's Mairo, who's had to answer this same exact question and others like it many, many times that he'd rather just skip to the inevitable and have Users preemptively go up the chain.
