Topic: a lot of metatags don't work in blacklists

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

when i try and put something like date:day / date:today in my blacklist it has absolutely no effect. i assume this is a bug because other metatags like score, id, rating, status, type, filesize etc. work fine

other metatags that don't work are parent, isparent, inpool, artverified, duration, mpixels. there are probably more, that's just all the ones i felt like specifically testing

here's a list of supported metatags for blacklists. it may be out of date, but it's at least something if you want to use other metatags.

ah, it's not a bug, don't know how i didn't see that section the first time reading it. thanks

The blacklist and search implementations are totally separate.
In the case of date, I think it's theoretically possible to implement. Most of those others are not possible (blacklist code runs client-side, the relevant data is not available client-side)

It shouldn't be, but if it ever is, let me know & I'll fix it, I try to keep these up-to-date.

Since this keeps coming up, I added a disclaimer to the search cheatsheet about it; let's hope that helps.
