Topic: [APPROVED] Tag alias: commissioner -> invalid_tag

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #82044 commissioner -> invalid_tag has been approved.

Reason: Commissioner tags are invalidated as well as commission itself.

EDIT: The tag alias commissioner -> invalid_tag (forum #483939) has been approved by @furrypickle.

Okay so, you have to be very careful about tags like this. In this case it had an ancient artist under it who went by "commissioner". So the contents of this tag have now been carefully checked, and all of that artist is now under commissioner_(artist) and the artist wiki info was also moved over (after being doublechecked for being valid and the same artist).

The newer stuff was all invalid people tagging stuff they commissioned, so that part certainly belongs in invalid. And the old artist is more historical at this point, not active. So it's not likely to cause them problems to be moved. However, it still would have been a mess to lose that info.

Sometimes I really hate the ancient tiny artists who used common names because the fandom was actually small enough for them to not already be used. They are such a pain to untangle decades later. Old character names sometimes too.

Anyways, that's just something to keep an eye out for. It should be safe to alias it away now.

Oops thank you for sorting out.
