I have recently created the furred_avian species tag.
I haven't made a wiki or any BURs yet... mostly because I wanted to bounce the idea off more than one mind before it grows too big to undo. Are there ways in which this tag could become inconvenient, reasons why we might want to delete it or alias it to an existing tag? Are there any opinions as to how exactly to define it - for instance: would it include mammal×avian chimaras such as harpies/hippogriffs/gryphons, or just birds to which hair/fur have been added? Are there suggestions as to how to improve it?
Basically, I think everyone in the forums should have a chance to voice their questions/comments/concerns before this tag becomes widely used.
I did tag a few examples where it seemed particularly apt, just to give a general sense of what I created the tag to describe. More or less images where a single character warrants both the avian and fur tags (so a furred_avian search should not bring up images like post #6257711, and thus is distinct from a search combining the existing fur and avian tages). With the possible exception of chimeras where the combination of traits would be too obvious (this might affect, for instance, whether it makes sense or not to later implicate furred_avian → non-mammal_hair, since mammal-containing chimeras are not considered non-mammals). But it isn't too late to change any of that. If anyone has suggestions, voice them!
