Topic: Young tag lock and removal

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Hello, I am not sure how to do this or what I am doing wrong, several pieces of art featuring my character have been stated as young and after every few months someone readds the tag. I would like to see about locking the tag associated with my character to not have the young tag, and if this is not possible I would like to remove the pieces of art that keep being tagged as such.

If people think a character looks young, they will tag it as young. If you disagree, report the post for tagging abuse and let staff make the final ruling.

You could report (Wiki:Reporting a Post) one of the posts where this is happening, and in the details field explain what's going on and link to the other posts where this is happening. Getting someone from the staff to act as an arbitrator is always going to be better than getting into a tag war.

You could also send a dmail to one of the staff, worst case they just direct you to the proper path forward.

Finally, if it does come down to that last bit, the takedown policy is Here (and also linked at the bottom of every page.)

Tag locks are based on admin decision, not character owner/artist desire. You should report the posts to request an admin decision (without touching the tags yourself as that's tag warring,) but with a style that far chibi expect a lot of those posts to fall young.
Before running away screaming please consider adult_(lore) and caring less about main tags. TWYS is pretty notorious for resulting in tags artists/owners don't agree with and it sucks to see people takedown over it, though I understand young is highly alarming to a lot of people.

I'm guessing you're talking about 5217640. It definitely constitutes young tag in my opinion. If it's your OC and is an adult according to your lore, you should add adult_(lore).

Remember that main tags are about how the character looks. You shouldn't remove the tag if someone finds it young looking. It's not an insult to the art style and doesn't automatically make it cub, in my opinion.

I don't think adult_(lore) is appropriate in this case because none of their uploads seems to be their artworks or commissions.

The character featured in the art supposedly is their character, so if they say that the character is adult, it would still apply.
