The tag implication #71972 melusine_(final_fantasy_xiv) -> melusine_(ffxiv) has been rejected.
Reason: 2 tags, same thing
One version is shorter.
The other is inconvenient.
EDIT: The tag implication melusine_(final_fantasy_xiv) -> melusine_(ffxiv) (forum #485979) has been rejected by @Choombah.

Implications add B to A, aliases turn A into B.
What Lafcadio said, and also since ffxiv is aliased to final_fantasy_xiv I'd personally prefer to alias the "_(ffxiv)" version to the "_(final_fantasy_xiv)" one.

I see my mistake but WHY on earth would we make _(ffxiv) to _(final_fantasy_xiv)
That defeats the purpose of my post entirely and not only that. Every series with a long name gets abbreviated...why would we NOT abbreviate FFXIV when refering to FFXIV.
imagine lesser known characters or OCS that belong to FFXIV bot getting the _(ffxiv) but _(final_fantasy_xiv)
Sorry but that's a terrible idea.
We do it for FNAF, FNF, TADC, SHOJ, TWEWY. and ALL occuring FF games. This is no different.

Yeah, the abbreviations are fine and I would prefer to remain consistent anyway. Having some tags use the abbreviation and some use the full title would be weird.
