On art class the teachers asked to write your name and favorite animal as memorization trick.
I wrote dragon, passed the note and only then it occurred to me what I had done.
So I'll say dragon.
Boring but honest answer: Cats. I have a cat. My family has 2 cats who I see almost every day. Cats are great and sweet. I just love 'em.
I also love bugs. My favorite bug is the hummingbird hawk moth, but I love all of Sphingidae in general.
Cats, or rabbits, or foxes... It's a close tossup
I have a looong list, but usually when ppl ask me, I say harpy eagle and house geckos :p
mammal: cats, probably
arthropod: I like lepidopterans in general, but I think luna moths are my favorite
fish: stargazer, based almost entirely on the name. just-- choosing to base it off of behavior entirely, ending up with such a beautiful-sounding moniker for an animal whose physical attributes are so, uh... striking.
I'm a big fan of silver foxes! incredibly beautiful creatures
Alligators and crocodiles.
They have interesting throats.
Cats and all kinds of felines.
Used to be horses and ponies for over a decade while i was a brony. I'm not a brony anymore, and have them blacklisted.
Gotta be cuttlefish. Super smart, camouflage, they have it all
the dooks
Humans.
Coyotes. Incredible resilience. In spite of humans systematically killing hundreds of thousands of them every single year, their numbers and range have expanded. They're like Nature's way of laughing at us, showing how silly we are when we think we're in control.
