Character: beta judy hopps
Beta designs for the character Judy Hopps from Zootopia (2016). Created and used during the period in the movie's development when Nick Wilde was the protagonist and Judy the deuteragonist, but after early concepts for the film such as The Savage Chronicles were considered (contrast Jack Savage). There are two different character designs from before Judy Hopps was finalized:
- Grey fur largely similar to the final design, differentiated by a white fauxhawk, green eyes or teal eyes, and absence of black ear markings. Drawn by concept artist Cory Loftis.
- Orange fur with orange markings and blue eyes, absent of fauxhawk. Drawn by Byron Howard, and seen in concept art and storyboards for the movie.
