Asgore is a character in the RPG game Undetale and its follow-up Deltarune, acting as the secondary antagonist in the former game. He is the king of the Underground and serves as the penultimate boss of Undertale's neutral route. He is also the husband of Toriel, and the father of Asriel.

Personality

Agore has a gentle and quiet personality. He is respected by the monsters for being a powerful leader, yet appears to be highly upbeat and occasionally goofy when it comes to his sense of humor. Despite this, he is ridden by his guilt of declaring war with the humans, in addition to the tragic circumstances of his son Asriel.

Appearance

He is a Boss Monster with a muscular build, broad shoulders, a blond mane and beard, and two large, curving horns. He wears a suit of armor, a purple cape with yellow pauldron, and a crown on top of his head.

In Undertale's True Pacifist ending and the majority of Deltarune, Asgore appears to be more rotund than his armored appearance, and wears a pink Hawaiian shirt with white flowers and blue jeans.

Tagging

Despite the game lore, Asgore should usually not be tagged as a monster, since that tag is only for creatures that are visually monstrous. In his usual form, it is more appropriate to tag him as an anthro goat.
