On 2026-03-21, spe came across this artist's tag which contained 4 posts at the time (2 unique posts and one post with an unfinished sketch version), immediately recognizing certain stylistic details highly consistent with AI generated imagery, especially post #6256222. IsFaputa chimed in to note that he had also noticed the AI-like artstyle when he had approved this artist's posts previously, but wasn't sure enough to initiate an investigation.
Deeper inspection revealed that the artist's FurAffinity account had only been created ten days prior, on 2026-03-11. The account contained the suspicious posts uploaded to e621 as well as a few entirely believable posts that had not been uploaded to e621. No earlier evidence of this artist's existence could be found elsewhere, and with such a short timeline, it was impossible to determine the gradual process of artistic improvement that would lead to this sort of artwork being created. Additionally, the handful of believable posts revealed a distinct art style and somewhat amateur level of anatomy skill that differed significantly from their suspicious posts, indicating a change in process and undisclosed assistance. With the artist's gallery containing multiple suspicious elements and no prior history to establish legitimacy, spe processed the deletion of their gallery.
On 2026-03-22, the artist posted an unfinished watersports sketch (now deleted) to their FA page which contained an e621 staff member's character along with some text claiming that their artwork is "all natural" with a crossed-out AI symbol. The description said "Some of my art got taken down on another site, claiming it was ai. I spend days on each peice. So i made this." This seemed to be their response to the deletions, before even initiating an appeal.
Analysis of this new post revealed some peculiar details - namely, the focal character was drawn with perfect anatomy, while the secondary character was drawn with extensive anatomical flaws. One of the focal character's hands was drawn very poorly despite the rest of the character and the artist's other works containing perfect anatomy, including expertly drawn hands. Some text on the image referred the hand specifically, stating "how the f**k do I draw hands? what is that??" with an arrow pointing to the hand.
Later the same day, LUNAcorp opened a private help ticket on Discord to appeal the deletions. They started by providing project files for the deleted posts.
Analysis of the files revealed some very strange inconsistencies. The style, number, and quality of sketch layers differed significantly between the three files. There were several instances of perfectly drawn anatomy appearing on the finished lines that did not exist in any of the sketches. These, among other unusual details, only served to heighten suspicions about this artist's process.
On 2026-03-24, spe asked the artist for a screen recording showing their process. About 3 and a half hours later, they provided a two and a half hour-long recording. The provided recording appeared vaguely legitimate at first glance, but a deeper inspection revealed clear evidence that certain parts of the process were created fraudulently by tracing from a source withheld from the recording, and other parts of the video done in such a way as to conceal the tracing. Since the artist had shown a willingness to falsify evidence provided to us, spe terminated appeal on 2026-03-26 with no further action taken.
If you suspect a work by this artist is AI-assisted/generated, flag the post. Do not make public accusations of AI-assisted art; these will be penalized under Disruptive Behavior.
