fluffy pony was kind of a micro counter-cultural movement within/adjacent to the brony community. so, without being either being in the community or existing in the same spaces as said community (4chan) you likely weren't going to get brought into the the sub-community either.

That's a fair point and this is actually why I don't think FP is anti-mlp.
Japan has a similar niche fandom called yukkuri abuse and it didn't interest me as much as FP does because I'm not familiar with Touhou project.

I want to bring FP to Japanese communities some day. I know they're good at creating abuse stories.
