Anyone else suddenly not getting ads on Desktop? It might just be something on my end blocking them. Fixed.

About 5 minutes ago the URL Link Upload, not sure what else to call it, stopped working.
~ The preview for this file failed to load. Please, double check that the URL you provided is correct.Note that some sites intentionally prevent images they host from being displayed on other sites. The file can still be uploaded despite that. ~ So can't Upload right now using links like these.

Having the same issue as the above users; site loads fine, no images will. Everything is fast except images stick in loading for ages before a "Server stopped responding" error.

Interesting information though: This only occurs on mobile data (LTE), wifi has no issue. I turned on a VPN and that also worked to restore the images. I know this suggests my cell provider is blocking the static server, but they have a clear "We monitor, throttle, or block no content" policy, and the fact multiple users are running into the issue makes me wonder if something changed recently about this site/servers in particular that's confusing mobile carriers. I figured I should report it on the off chance it's not just my cell provider suddenly becoming puritanical.

I accidentally made five copies of the same note on post #6241521 (I removed the extras).
I hit Reply to write a comment, then realized I forgot to translate it. I entered note mode and made the note. I tried to click 'save note' but it didn't do anything, so I tried clicking a few more times and nothing happened. Then I clicked 'mark as translated' to see what would happen, and when the page reloaded I noticed the shadow was darker than usual and discovered the extra copies.

It seems like the desktop version of e926 will filter out comments made on non-safe posts, but on mobile comments on posts of all ratings are shown (for non-safe posts the thumbnail is not shown at all, not even the 'deleted' placeholder).

For some reason my profile shows my artist posts twice: once under my current name and once under an old username.

It looks like this:

The old artist is still linked to you despite being aliased, you should be able to ask a staff member to unlink the old tag

Minor thing, not sure if it's a bug or by design...

When you look at the tag change history, any additions or removals that have since been undone will be written with strikethrough. However, this doesn't apply to locked tags. There's an image where a mod locked a tag and then removed it from the lock, but the strikethrough isn't there.

Safe mode is off yet still on?? Only on e926.

A week ago or less I finally made an account on e621. Today I logged on e926 with the same account for the first time.
When I search porny tags, no images and a text greet me: "75 post(s) on this page were hidden by safe mode (e926). Go to e621 or disable safe mode to view (learn more)."
Safe mode is disabled by default but I enabled it, saved, searched again, disabled, saved, searched again, just to make sure. No dice. Everything works fine on e621.

To make things funnier, the "learn more" link takes me to https://e926.net/help/user_settings which doesn't even exist, there's no "settings" or "user settings" entry on help page

e926 is always set to Safe-only. Sounds like a mistake in the text to say you can disable safe mode there.

That message just does not differentiate between being on e926 and having the safe mode on.
You can turn safe mode on e6, and it'll still say "Go to e621 or disable safe mode to view".

Ok but... HOW do I turn off safe search?? Since toggling it in user settings on either site didn't work? Or are you saying there's been a change and e926 fill forever be in safe mode henceforth???

There had been no change.
e926 had been a safe mode only website since time immemorial.
That's the whole point of that website – a SFW mirror of e621.

I noticed that a new feature was added to the "Upload" page. It looks like there is an additional check that will warn you if you enter specific tags into the "Artists and Contributors".

For example:
If I put "fortnite", I get a warning that says "fortnite is a a copyright tag".
Same thing for "epic_games" - "epic_games is a a copyright tag"

You can click on that message, which then deletes the tag. I wonder if it was supposed to add the tag elsewhere, but no other field on the full uploader gives that kind of warning.

The feature exists to cut down on the number of posts trying to use existing tags as artist tags, it isn't intended to move it anywhere, chances are the tag isn't valid for the post

on the artist li_(pixiv)'s page https://e621.net/artists/61327 it says they have an Other Name of limbotern, but next to the other name is an asterisk that says "No artist with this name currently exists." Clicking the limbotern Other Name URL leads to the New Artist page. My problem is that there is indeed a limbotern artist with art uploaded using said name https://e621.net/artists/limbotern so I'm not sure what is up.

This all stems from me uploading a piece of artwork to the limbotern artist tag when the art had already unknowingly been uploaded to the li_pixiv artist tag 4 years prior. I want to make an alias request forum post, but then all this Other Name stuff confused the heck out of my poor atrophying brain.

This means there's no artist page for that name, not that there isn't an artist tag with that name. Generally it's a good idea to always fill out the artist page when there isn't one for a tag that's in use, at least providing one known site they post their work at.

When I load the site all the art is showing broken photo symbols, and taking an extra long time to load the page.
When I go to a page that has only the single art piece, it shows a broken photo symbol instead of the art piece.
When I press the view button to see the photo independently on a new page I get a page saying, "this site can't be reached." static1.e621.net took too long to respond.
I have encountered the same problem on both my tablet and cell phone while connected either to my house Wi-Fi or the cell phone network.
Edit: I have encountered the same problem with animated works with about 1/5 of them showing up normally.

Unsure if this is an intended behaviour but when a verified artist has 2 tags linked to their account, both show up on their user page and afaict the previous name always show up first.

I assure you, I did not accidentally make it show posts belonging to all linked artists.

No, it's not set to always show the previous name first. No idea where you are getting that from.
Order's not defined or guaranteed. It may be alphabetical, it may not.

Sorry if I annoyed you again. I never meant to. I don't know anything about coding so naturally I don't know if something requires work to implement.
About the order, I checked like 5 artists and all of them had their former name shown up first. That's why I said "afaict." I didn't say it's like that for every single verified artists with more than 2 tags.

Yeah so I guess the real question is will it be changed or are you going to keep it that way?

I am not annoyed. I'm just always like this.
I'll add a check for aliases. Not in tomorrow's release, though.
