With one of Jay Naylor’s recent stories “Mistress Theressa's Guide to Carnal Exotica” being on hiatus right now and most of the species presented covered as well as a couple of new species added (Mimics & Tanukis)
There appears to be two species left which involved the Lizardmen and the Wasps.
Now from what I read about recent artwork, Cottonwine Verse has lore, “DEEP LORE”, like bat-shit crazy Warhammer lore! that the world was originally a void and then came to form different leveled layers of existence based on consciousness and experience, which the mortal realm is the second to the lowest level where the instincts of mortals become dense as to fall into the lower level rather than ascend to detach themselves from those instincts. and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Depending on whether the story will add more species beyond what is shown (I hope there are more), I suspect the following:
The Lizardmen will be portrayed as some sort of primal mesoamerican civilization, if it goes the way I think it will go, I believe human/elf females will establish some sort of Amazonian tribe in close, intimate alliance with the Lizardmen, if there are Lizardwomen, I could only suspect there are some human male missionaries that will be suseptable to the reptilian females.
As for the Wasps, I honestly do not know, I am not really a fan of Insect on human action, but at this point, with the way Jay portrays this world combined with the designs, I am weirdly okay with that, I have no idea how this species will look, will they have some sort of Hive or nest for human women they take in for consorting? Will they gather human males to be mates for the Wasp Queen? I don’t know, it is just weird that it could go in so many directions.
Thoughts? Any idea how things will progress or what new ideas you hope to see?
