Can body swap count as transformation? For example if a male and female were body swapped, would that be gender transformation?

Good question. My instinct would be to say "no", that transformation is about physical changes. Changing a character's species, sex, size, etc. Although mental_transformation exists, it's usually accompanied with a physical transformation, and I often see it incorrectly used (where there's no apparent mental change to a character in the post; since you can't see a character's mental state, it's not easy to determine whether differences in behavior is just the character wanting to do something different vs being influenced to think differently). But a body swap does involve character becoming and physically being someone else, even if it's not through their bodies swapping forms, so I can see the argument there.

Should heart swap be aliased to body swap or is it distinct enough to just imply it? It refers specifically to a Pokemon move which in the anime is able to body swap others, but it's usually depicted in a somewhat unique way and involves a specific character.

I guess this depends on whether we really want to be tagging pokemon moves. If no, an alias, if yes, maybe an implication, unless there's a way to depict the move without depicting the body swap. I've always seen it a bit weird to be tagging pokemon moves, since I don't think there's strict rules about what they look like. And they often are common fighting moves just performed by a pokemon (e.g. aura sphere looking like a common energy ball attack, similar to a hadouken in Street Fighter or kamehameha in DragonBall).
