Topic: I have an IRL question about my genitals, I lost a lot of weight recently and they're uncomfortably cold now, does this get better?

I lost a lot of weight recently because a doctor told me to...

So their temperature lowered (you know, my cock and balls) and sometimes a chill down there gets so cold I fear I'm exposed down there, as if a hole ripped open in my underwear and trousers.

It's a really uncomfortable cold sensation usually right at the tip of my foreskin. Like the gentle caress of a cool breeze.

I'm still wearing underwear and trousers. So I shouldn't feel like my cock is exposed. But sometimes I do. It's quite distracting and annoying. Sometimes when the feeling hits I check over my trousers and underwear and make it look like I am scratching my balls. If I bent over to examine the cock and balls region of my crotch in public I would look like a pervert.

Will the sensation go away as my fitness improves? Or is this just something I have to get used to now that I am no longer fat?

This is the only forum I use where I can say cock and balls and foreskin. I should probably ask this on a penis health forum instead but people would think I was weird if I made a whole account just for that.

To be honest, this is something you should be discussing with your doctor.

This is a question you should be asking your doctor instead, especially regarding health concerns.

If this sensation has gone for like more than three days yeah, talk to your doctor.

I can't contact my doctor about something this stupid. That's a highly trained professional. I would feel awful if I wasted her time discussing something like this. What would the doctor even say? "Yeah in my medical opinion you need to take these pills?"

It's not stupid, if there's any unintentional side-affects that's effecting your life you must report to your doctor so they investigate if maybe anything they prescribed is doing this.

You'll probably need for a check about how are you doing with your doc right? It wouldn't hurt to speak about it, you're paying and it's their job to give you the best treatment.

I'm not a doctor but I work in EMS. I guarantee that they've heard dumber. In fact, I bet they'd just be happy to see you even for a "silly" reason just for the fact that you listened to their advice to lose weight. I don't know what the situation's like where you live, but you could check for the possibility of doing a telehealth (virtual) visit, or ask if they could hear your concerns over the phone if having that separation would help.

Where I live, there's a phone service dedicated to providing free health advice. It's run by various medical professionals. If you don't want to talk to your doctor about this, consider seeing if there's something similar where you live.

This is why doctors exist; To ask health questions of.
And, as someone who's been to the ER multiple times, has had surgery, and has had many health issues; No matter what you ask, there is ALWAYS someone out there who's asked or done worse.
'My groin feels cold and I lost weight. Are they related?' is going to net you a 'Congratulations on losing weight!' and an answer.

By the end of the day, if it's nothing bad, your doctor will have forgotten all about the question.
And if it IS something bad; They, and you, will be happy you asked instead of waiting for it to get worse.

I will quote my doctor when I once said 'This may be a stupid or silly question, but...(Rest removed to not be squicky)'
And his reply, word-for-word, was "I'd rather my patients ask me what they consider 'stupid and silly questions' that turn out harmless. Because the opposite (Not asking & it turns out to be bad) is much worse."

Edit: Also, congrats on the weight loss! I'm currently struggling to get my own weight down, so I understand the struggle you beat!

I agree with everything said here. Honestly this concern should be brought up to a medical professional. I don't think strangers on a porn site would be much help.

If I had a nickel for every person who died or suffered permanent medical consequences because they "didn't want to waste their doctor's time over something stupid", I could probably fund global universal healthcare for a full year. Remember, your doctor gets paid to do this. If it's nothing to worry about, then they can donate quick regular checkup & send you on your way lightening fast while still charging full price; from that perspective, you'd be doing them a favor.

If you don't have healthcare or work too much to find the time to make an appointment, that's one thing, but if it's just that it feels awkward to schedule an appointment for this, you can just schedule a random checkup & ask them about it when they examine you. Making sure odd aches, pains, & sensations aren't a sign of something serious is kinda the point of regular checkups; the best care is preventative care.

Besides, if it is something serious, would you rather "waste" your GP's time now, or waste your GP's time later when their office gets a midnight call from the ER, along with the ER doctors' time? Better safe than sorry.

Your health is a team effort; your GP can't help you with problems you don't tell them about.

But it's just... it's just my dick that gets cold sometimes because my thighs and gut aren't horrifyingly fat any more. I can't tell a doctor about this. It'll go on some kind of permanent record and every time someone checks it they'll say "Lmao he's such a hypochondriac he asked a doctor why his dick gets cold" and never take me seriously again.

That's normal, just wear thicker clothing. That said this isn't an appropriate platform for this discussion and this topic will be locked.
