Topic: [REJECTED] Tag alias: cherry_petals -> cherry_petal

The tag alias #82232 cherry_petals -> cherry_petal has been rejected.

Reason: Plural to singular. Plural currently used 12 times (more than singular variant with 8).

EDIT: The tag alias cherry_petals -> cherry_petal (forum #485345) has been rejected by @poolkitten.

I think this should be reversed. When something very rarely shows up as single instance, the plural is favored (unless this has changed over the several years I was not active).

Edit: actually I think both should be aliased to cherry blossom.

Don't think an alias to cherry blossom would make sense since there are posts with the petals and no tree (post #4524546 and post #3687707 for example).

As for reversing the alias, makes sense.

Cherry blossom tag does not require any trees to be visible?

Once staff reject this alias, probably apply this bur:

alias cherry_petals -> cherry_blossom
alias cherry_petal -> cherry_blossom

Thanks, it's kinda weird the option is not available near the edit and hide buttons.
