  • I know mo fos out here gettin bread, but omfg does anyone else find it annoying after a person just sponored someone on their video you get 3 unskipable youtube ads. bruh I shoulsn't have to pay Youtube $29.95 to not watch 3 back to back unskippable ads. shit is disgusting. we need a new website where artists can sponsor themselves without the b.s. ads every 5 seconds. and all should be skippable not 1 or 2 and you're forced to watch the others etc. sorry for the rant, but otherwise it's obvious I have an opposing opinion to this

With how much I've been on porn websites, I was worried I'd have some weird stuff on my computer. So I got one of those anti-scam download things, which funnily enough, also blocked out YouTube ads. So I can't relate, lmao.

Youtube is getting worse with the ADs ... some videos an advert pops up every 2 to 3 minutes, and even watching said ads in their entirety doesn't impact lessening them from popping up...

Even regular TV wasn't that bad... jfc

That's great in concept, but unfortunately it just doesn't work financially.

The problem being that the internet is not, has never been, nor will ever be "free". Someone has to pay the bills, and youtube cant host the freaking millions of hours of vids added daily without income.

Last i checked, even with all the ads and people paying for the ad free, they are barely breaking even.

Fact is, most of the general public expects it to be free, wont pay for a subscription, and so all they can do is ad revenue.

Hypothetically if EVERYONE took action and spent , say, 9 bucks a year on YouTube, then it could run entirely ad free... But you can't expect that. So here is our middle ground. Ads run for everyone who wants it free. Pay to get rid of the ads if you hate them so much.

It sucks, but there literally isnt a better option.

Tho i agree all ads Should be skipable. I believe advertisers actually prefer them, because its not just playing in the background/to an empty room. You have to pay attention and hit skip. At that point they know you've seen the product name, and hit the button to confirm you were paying attention.
