Description
Swallow My Bullet
Summary: If you don't know how to deal with stress, it will control you. A girl becomes a cop.
This story was from a prompt that was sent in: "a cop enjoying killing lol acab" It's a troll, but I can write anything. (-:< Theme: adrenaline dumping. Few police academies teach how to manage it. I’m going to try a different style of writing. Slow burn, long stury.
Title and cover taken from this: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/40917252/ Got permission to use that character in the story as well. What’s in this story is not canonical to the original character’s lore. Cheers.

I will never forget the og prompt for Trust Me vs what the comic actually is. I aspire to it that's the level of monkey's paw I want to be, I hope none of this sounds sarcastic grimart if you're reading this keep on truckin

BlockedYou mean how prompt was about "m/f comic" and we got "m/m" one?

Memberwell, not NOT that, but--well here's the original statement, or at least the desc on the first page of Trust Me right now:
The plot wasn't really about any of that, Ambus WAS shy because of his looks, but, he didn't really Conquer his fears in the story of the comic itself (not as a main arc anyway), Mindes was the one who went and asked HIM out, and, a lot of other things. There's some literal comparisons with the plot of Trust Me but I think the spirit of the original plotbunny/prompt was totally counter to the vibe of the actual comic. prompt kinda seems hopeful/positive about that relationship, or at least, this specific quote does, but the comic not so much.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that about Trust Me--I don't really love stories about someone who is Different learning to Dismiss Their Fears and be with someone In The Norm, it's...well, the page where Mindes compares Ambus being shiny to his having a docked tail as if it's Equal is something that INSTANTLY raised a red flag with me, prolly for a lot of folks as well. irl parallels and all that, but anyway I don't think the original plotbunny had ANYTHING like that in mind. And I love it
