Guilrel's Lore
Succubi are able to sense the feelings of their Targets so they can manipulate them easier. But for Meri it's also one of the things that held her back from getting a boyfriend the normal way (which is literally what everyone else has to do when getting a boyfriend or girlfriend), since she is supposed to reveal she's a Succubus to her eventual human boyfriend. However, being able to feel her boyfriend's fear scares her a lot especially if that's the reason for their break up and the unfortunate unknown consequences for both of them for revealing herself to a mortal who before then, didn't know Succubi actually exists.
