I feel like you have no idea what fascism means.

Maybe that's the point. Ironically, in order take down fascism, Antifa attempts to forcefully supress their opposition - exactly how actual fascist rulers handle things.

Violence only breeds more violence. I don't understand how people can simultaneously carry banners that say "no hate" while throwing molotov cocktails.

  • The only contradiction here is the contradiction of tolerance, also known as the conundrum of what happens when you need to counter intolerance. After all, a tolerant society cannot function with intolerance. When someone asks for violence, or even actively and purposefully incites violence, the only response is violence.

There is no contradiction in the protestor's actions. We have over a century's worth of prejudice and hatred from the central organization that claims to protect us. They don't. In many parts of the country, they're actively malicious. Statistics show that they are the perpetrators some of the absolute worst abuse in the country. These people aren't the friends of progress, especially when that progress impedes them nailing a bullet through the head of anyone they dislike.

This isn't a contradiction. You want to talk about violence creating violence? A police raid began the Stonewall riot, the absolure crux of the American queer rights movement. These people aren't on our side because both the law ans culture isn't on our side, and until that changes, they still won't be. Take some time to read a history book before you downvote. This art is necessary to show that we will not be forced down again. Stonewall was the spark, and we have to carry that flame with us and pass it on to our successors.

If you're not prepared to stare down the barrel of a submachine gun from the people you're trying to defend in this comments section, then get some goddamn research in you and figure out how to fight for your right to have a life in this country.

Because the "thin blue line" can claim to protect the populace while shooting a black man in the back of the head for speeding, or a trans man for being in their way. At some point, you have to fight back.

I don't claim to know the right response to solving systemic issues on those magnitudes. I just don't think physically harming those we disagree with is the way to go about it.

While I would absolutely agree in other situations, this logic isn't applicable now. There are politicians in this country actively advocating for genocide. I don't believe in killing people over disagreeing, but at this point it isn't just a disagreement, it's active hatred from people dead set in their beliefs with far, far too much authority to never want to change.

I do wish that things could be solved on less violent terms. I am a pacifist at heart, and want everyone to be happy.

Lol let me guess this stupid artwork was made in Defense of that freak who shoot up a school in Nashville recently? And I find it amusing How do you use the title trope of cops killing a ozo called Innocent black man Yeah you conveniently ignore Facts like this that don't fit your narrative Here's a little history lesson for you When you look at crime statistics and places like Detroit or Chicago Most of the crimes committed there are largely done by blacks on other blacks.

Genuinely what the fuck are you talking about. What does this have to do with... anything in this image.

And while I would explain to your racist ass what redlining is and why those crime statistics are so high, I don't think you'd be willing to listen given... this.

Yes? There are actively genocidal laws in process across the country. I won't provide "a source" to you for it, literally just look it up; there will be thousands of news articles from the past week alone on the bullshit being forced into state senates.

  • This feels like it's meant to be mocking, they literally have the protesters holding "no hate" signs while torching police cars. I can't think of a better example of visual irony.

Just because I saw this being argued for in the comments here, riots and violence only makes things worse. It allows police to get more funding, justify greater measures of force, and makes the movement less popular. I understand the anger but taking it out on cops or property only feeds their narrative and acts as justification for them to be even more violent and oppressive.

  • It has come to my attention that the image at hand, upon a thorough analysis and examination, appears to contain a rather noteworthy and intriguing attribute. Specifically, I have discovered that said image is comprised of a finite set of characters, of which the letter 'E' appears in a total count of 16. It is worth noting that the aforementioned observation is particularly striking, given the ubiquitous nature of the letter in the lexicon of the English language.

In addition, the letter 'M' is, in fact, present within the composition of said image, albeit only in a singular instance. This particular detail is intriguing, as it highlights the distinct nature of the letter, which belongs to the category of letters called the alphabet as opposed to that of numerals.

Naaah doubt this is ironic, if it was there would be a snark comment by a furson on the corner or a sixth panel breaking the fourth wall

No, from reading the law and seeing the ways it can be abused. When you pay attention to the vague language, they're really just trying to write "I'm going to hurt people without saying I'm going to hurt people."

Quick edit: I don't use CNN or FOX "news" since I'm not an idiot who uses CNN or an asshole racist that uses FOX

  • Only reason I'm not disappointed by the liberal pearl clutching in these comments is cause I didn't expect any better.

Y'all are really gonna need to get over your addiction to civility eventually, and we'd all really appreciate if you could do it BEFORE they start trying to round us up into camps.

  • The irony of finding police d***suckers on this one claiming to know what fascism ACTUALLY is (TYVM) is cosmic level comedy. And don't cry "but muh politics" cuz apparently cops abusing their power gets a pass. Personally it doesn't matter to me if the bootlickers get mad. Its just very funny. A normal person contextualizes such images as in-universe possibilities of furry world building by the parties involved in its creation.

Less suddenly depictions of things that can happen IRL is now considered untouchable by artists or their critics. Cuz ZAMN that IS a tactic of fascists and would impact the generation of the spicy anthros that ordinarily proliferate here.

    TL;DR - STFU hypocrites
