Link can't unfuse two items, he can only destroy the item fused to the weapon. He can kill the Alexander, saving Nina, but he can't save both. So bittersweet ending.

you can ABSOLUTELY seperate two items that are fused... have you even played TOTK??? or just watched 'lets plays'? the only time you cannot unfuse items without destroying them is when they are part of his own gear (ie. shields and swords), or when using the 'autobuild' function to build replica fusions out of zonite.

Have YOU played the game? He can separate two items that were GLUED to eachother using ultrahand, but if two items are FUSED the only way to separate them is to destroy the item or to go to tarrey town.

If he goes to the place you buld in breath of the wild than he can get a goron to separerat them
