All of the humans were dead except for the five, and AM couldn't bring any back to life. I'm guessing that AM wouldn't be satisfied making something that even closely resembled a human because it wasn't an 'original human', it'd just be some doll he made.

While it can transfer them into simulations it seems unable to actually make itself a body, with all its knowledge and power it was created to destroy and only destroy it can never create it literally doesn't have the capacity to do so which it recognizes, acknowledges and hates even more.
