    Oh my god! this is awesome. Birdo was always my favorite in games like Mario Kart Double Dash. I'd always pick her, well him. I'm saving this

    Yeah i know about that topic. the whole convo about Birdo being a male and preferring to be called Birdetta in one of the old Nintendo guide books (i think) still i liked Birdo before that and after. he's always gonna be my favorite Mario Bros character

    Or the Birdo thing was one guy writing an instruction manual and the Tomodatchi life thing is something they didn't think of until the internet got huffy about it. You try too hard :)

    I wonder how many comment threads like these I'm going to have to derail before people wise up...Oh, well, here goes one more! Since the very first game Birdo appeared in, there have been multiple instances of the creature per game...and more, even since that very first game, there have been places you can see multiple ON THE SAME SCREEN. There was even a scene in one game in particular to show a Birdo standing over a nest of eggs, with other Birdos in the background. The conclusion? The whole gender argument is idiotic, because Birdo's a species, not a singular character. :P
