What does the thing on her shirt mean?

Ever wonder how an espeon's forehead gem works? Like is it part of their skull or does it sit in the skin? Is it see through? Can you see her brain through it if you get really close & shine a flashlight on it? I'm pretty sure it's connected to their powers i think they shoot magic beams from it. So that makes me wonder what happens if you crack it. Would that mess with their powers? Would it hurt? Would it heal after a while? So many questions.

If I had to guess, it stands for League Champion Series. Either a shirt of her favorite trainer or, possibly the fact that in her youth, she used to battle and won a Pokemon Tournament League before settling into an office job in her later years and her trainer either moved on or passed away.

Could you imagine if it were the latter and gammainks adds to her backstory that her previous trainer who was much older, used to call her "Rookie" while on his team as a sign of affection and now she does it too? lol Reaching yes, but I'd love it all the same.
