That does seem to be the direction things are going in.

Just like his sister, he did something nice for Coalt, and now he's getting closer to his softer, no-pants-having side. If Coalt wasn't straight, this likely wouldn't have stopped at a hug.

Allie and Kharl are definitely siblings.

I'm not sure it's encouragement so much as a "hey you're kinda crushing me here".

Was it said somewhere that he’s straight? Those weren’t very straight things he did with Squeaks.

Coalt was exploiting the inborn fanaticism kobolds have toward dragons. Squeaks seems to have a one-track mind when it comes to dragons; all that matters is that he's got access to what's between their legs. Also, back in the Shameless headquarters, he intended to blow his cover if Caldius didn't go up his backside in time.

I don't think it's said anywhere that he is, but from the way things have gone so far, he very much fancies the ladies.

Coalt demonstrated dominance to Squeaks. You don't have to be not-straight to do that, especially if all that Coalt did satisfied Squeaks.
