female hyena's do have balls, fused of the physical remains of what would have been a labia, and this character is seen in other pictures with "crotch boobs" (an odd design choice for an anthro I admit) and the ability to insert objects. this is a female

there is a difference between following site's general gender tagging guidelines and adding overly specific and mostly completely useless tags you know

hyena phallus + balls = penis. Unless this is a Ballgirl which would be unique and under tag what u see, clearly testicles are visible and is therefor a male

This is actually one of the clearest examples of female hyena anatomy that I've seen in a while. Both the shape, and the wide opening of the genitals indicate that it is a female's pseudopenis.

Plus if I know Maim's art (Given I watch him), he has a tendency to draw lots of species anatomically correct. Just by looking at the penis alone, and thanks to the slit on the tip like you pointed out, you can easily see it's a pseudo-penis.

Whenever one of these tag arguments shows up, I've always thought about if someone was looking up the tag(s) in question, in this case "pseudo-penis", would this pic be something they would be looking for. In this case, regardless of if this char was actually male and general T.W.Y.S., I believe this should come up with that tag.

Kinda a controversial thought, IK. Many times it doesn't follow T.W.Y.S. and that's why I don't tag.

Okay to make it simple
Male Hyena = slightly pointed penis and pronounced balls, barely noticeable nipples
Female Hyena = Pseudo penis with a larger opening, that is the clit, pseudo scrotum, noticeable breasts in the pelvis area.
Make sure to know your anatomy!
