dotted outline
A dotted outline is a shape formed out of dashed lines. The outline can be surrounding something physically present, or can be used to highlight something that was once there, but no longer is.
Tagging notes
The outline tag is usually for characters, or significant scene props. It might not apply to many examples of dotted outline.
