Nah, he's a heel. Heels are the "bad guy" wrestlers, the ones who act like assholes and fight dirty. The Dark type is all about fighting dirty. It's even called the "Evil" type in Japanese, which is why it's weak to the Fighting type.

Meanwhile Hawlucha, who is based on a "face" (good guy) wrestler is a Fighting type.

Basically in Pokemon, Fighting is the "Good" type, and Dark is the "Evil" type.

I get it, people are tired of the trend, but I'm really starting to feel bad for Incineroar.

I actually think popplio was cute when it first came out and incineroar looks cool

I decided to go with the Popplio crowd, and I'm glad that its final evolution is something worth keeping. Besides, we already had a Fire/Dark with Houndour back in gen 2.

Doesn't matter. There's plenty of pokemon who share type groupings.

So what? The thing is, who cares if the type combo was already done, it's about what the Pokemon can do with the combo. Houndoom and Incineroar share a type combo, but Houndoom is mixed with a leaning towards special and pretty frail, while Incineroar will likely be pure physical and may have some bulk behind it, so they aren't the same thing, so the fact that we already had a Fire/Dark means nothing.

I knew Popplio's evolution would help it out. ^_^ I was actually going to start with it, then we got introduced to Incineroar. I don't know what you're complaining about over there Trainer, I love it. *hugs Incineroar*

This. I mean, as of now i have ... well, not accepted, but i tolerate what my sweet little torracat will turn into, but i still would have prefered it to stay on all fours. Especially considering it is NOT a fire/fighting, so there was no reason to turn him into Brock Lesnar.

people need to stop crying over this yes so what litten isnt on all fours pokemon are not objects to judge they are living fictional beings so shut the hell up and learn to either tolerate it or accept it like i did i've seen some major disappointments in the pokemon games and incineroar is not one of them

Ok PETA... One, sorry to have to break your immersion but they are just data.... 1s and 0s copied onto millions of computer chips inside of plastic casings and on pieces of paper, some with foil on them.

2) "Living" and "Fictional" are two words that cant, nor ever should, be used together....
Living= Alive and Real. Fictional= Not Real, Fake, and doesnt nor ever did exist.

3) People have the right to not like incineroar if they don't like him. Everyone was hoping for a completely different looking fire starter were let down. While EVERY Water Type and Grass Type Starters have been COMPLETELY different looking from each other the Fire starters have been almost completely the same. While they get the Fire/Dark typeing right they still made it look like fighting wrestling bodybuilder which people are completely sick of seeing being used over and over again.
While Delphox got both a completely different look and typeings most people hated how it look because most people hate Pokemon with clothing being apart of them (or in Delphox's case choth looking fur). Tho I LOVE Delphox and Delphox's look and its my absolute favorite starter with Primarina being next.

That's what's so ingenious about his design! They knew the fans were sick of Fire/Fighting starters, so they made him look just like one for the exact reason that everyone would hate Incineroar, which is the sole purpose of a heel fighter. He's the ultimate troll, and I love it!
