Maybe tags that people filter count towards "trending"? So if there are a lot of people searching with -ambiguous_gender that gets considered as trending. Idk just a guess.

I'd be kinda surprised by having many exclude ambiguous_gender as well, though...

I don't have much other data, and this isn't exactly analogous, but there weren't any people who had put ambiguous_gender in their blacklist in any of the "what's your blocklist" threads.

hypogen DTPF soon! funnily enough, the hypogen was the easy part. i passived molten quantum so that was dead simple, the hard part is the bioware mainframes. those shits are so slow!! i'd send a pic when its done but idk if i can here

Damn… I wonder if people will still make Chuck Norris jokes due to his passing. 🫤

Wow... they finally won.

Gandalf the Grey and Gandalf the White and Monty Python and the Holy Grail's Black Knight and Benito Mussolini and The Blue Meanie and Cowboy Curtis and Jambi the Genie, Robocop and Terminator, Captain Kirk and Darth Vader, Lo Pan, Superman, every single Power Ranger, Bill S. Preston and Theodore Logan, Spock, McGruff, Doc Ock, and Hulk Hogan...

Thus it fulfills the arrival of the ultimate champion of ultimate destiny, Mr. Rogers in his bloodstained sweater

@YummyTummySketties:
you might've also heard people quote/discuss the FurScience stats, which also had questions about orientation.

I've seen people use these as if they're representative of the entire fandom population, but it needs to be recognized that this wasn't a random sample of the entire community. rather they were mostly attendants of a few furry conventions who were comfortable answering a survey.

I don't think it's all that surprising that ~10-20% of con attendance is straight, since, while the furry fandom is pretty gay, furry conventions are, like, mega gay.

Why is that a surprise? Most porn viewers are straight guys. There's nothing inherently wrong with that, of course, it's just a consequence of the demographics.

Basically what dba un poisson answered. I thought there were more gay folks here than straight guys.
Obviously I'm biased because more than half of my friends are gay or at least more interested in male.

Quite surprised female is more searched than male

visual pornography (since that's likely what people are searching for with these tags) tends to have a larger a male audience in general, and even if there's a larger proportion of the furry population who are gay compared to the general population, the largest portion are likely still straight (especially if you include straight-leaning bisexual people).

anyway,

has anybody explored trending tags yet

smile being in the top 20 is kinda really surprising. maybe people do just want to see artists draw them being happy.

also, people specifically seeking out ambiguous_gender, moreso than intersex is also kinda surprising.

Does anyone know where the “Frequent Tags” option in the settings pops up? I haven’t been able to find it when searching.

It appears on the uploading page (Click Related: Tags after typing at least 1 tag.)
Or it appears when you edit tags of an existing post.
Afaics it doesn't appear when searching posts.

That's really neat. If a user with a linked artist tag posts on one of their artworks that someone else posted, does it show a check mark or is that just for artist-uploaded posts?

I think the checkmark is just for art the artist themselves uploaded. Some people who have commissioned or did edits of my have work uploaded them, but they don't have the checkmark since I didn't upload it.

The new Artwork uploads feature is super cool, nice to see everything I made and not just the stuff I uploaded myself.

Do you ever wonder why Skoon's artist entry says CDNP in a huge red font unlike regular "conditional dnp" messages?
I wonder if any other artists have it too.

I could be wrong, but I think artist pages just mirror the wiki page plus their links.
Most wiki pages can be edited by anybody, my guess is that whoever made that one just used slightly different formatting than usual.

Haven't seen peanut butter ice cream yet but that sounds pretty good!

no one sells it, like, no one sells it.
I've picked up several tubs that look like this or this and when I actually open them at home I realize I've been tricked into buying fucking chocolate with tiny bits of frozen peanut butter in. I've since decided to learn how to read. (now I'm just disappointed when I read the packaging in the store)

the only brand I've seen that actually sells it in a tub is Reese's themselves. (but they also sell chocolate, so still need to be on the lookout for that)

update: it might be peanut butter, coffee close second.

(I've had such a journey on this, dude.)

Oh, here's a recipe I like.
Slice 3 large or 4 medium-sized ripe bananas and freeze them.
Then put them into a food processor with 60 grams (about a quarter cup) of peanuts (or peanut butter), process until just smooth.
Cheap and tasty "peanut butter ice cream" that's not junk food.

Azuki bars are basically just tsubuan thinned with some water and frozen into popsicles, easy to make if you can get your hands on azuki beans.
