furry is a...

You speak as though these things are immutable, when in reality all this only slows the changes one can expect as a result of outsiders who come in, see what the fandom has to offer, and say, "I really love it, it's just that I want literally everything about it to change except for this extremely minor tertiary aspect that is not core to the furry identity that nobody else really values except tourists like me."
Enough of these people WILL result in major shifts in fandom culture, even if it takes much more to effect these changes.

Hell, even internal pressures can spoil the fandom. Remember a few years ago when furries suddenly became vehemently politicized? Twitfurs would block you if you didn't share at least 95% of their views, and even if you did share ≥95% of their views, they'd still block you if you didn't express them in the right way. That shit was completely insufferable.

Using words like ゲロ as an adverb, "w" and using that particular dialect tend to come across as rude, especially when it's the first we talked to each other. I thought you would know those things if you speak Japanese that fluently.

Oh, was the dialect the problem? I remember hearing from a coworker that in anime characters tend to use kantou speech unless they're gangsters, because kantou speech is the primary dialect right now and there were more gangsters in kansai back in the day. Did you by chance assume kansai speech is some rowdy way of talking, and that I was imitating fictional characters? I feel that could've caused a pretty big misunderstanding (:_;)

ゲロ甘 is a normal word. It's not using something as an adverb; it's one, singular phrase. One noun. The medical term for snot is 鼻糞(はなくそ)which means "nose shit." ゲロ甘 isn't that weird by comparison and it's not rude. It just means "too sweet"

"w" is "lol"

I'm apologetic if I made you uncomfortable, but I'm unable to apologize for my dialect and the dialect half the people living in my country use because you don't like the sound of it.

Yes, it was my first time talking to you. But this is the equivalent of Twitter, and on a pornogrpahic site featuring furries. You asked me to speak in Japanese and this isn't exactly business-email type atmosphere. I was speaking nonchalantly, but I never insulted you

There seems to be artworks imported from banned accounts on FC and they didn't include correct artist names on their posts, which caused Peace to mistag artists. I could recognise one of the artists luckily. I have to comb through Peace's uploads once my archive is "over."

also, uploaded way before Peace, the stuff under santanon is also misstagged. there seem to be drawings by three different artists don't know who they are but none of them are Santanon.

even though my dad is my second greatest hb i might have to neutralize him. me and him were watching zootopia 2 (good movie, didnt expect joe swanson to voice the horse) and out of nowhere this mf says "She has a big butt, doesn't she?" talking about judy hopps. when we later reached the credit scene i joked around with him for saying that but then he told me to look up his question on google before he did it himself on HIS OWN PHONE.

anyways on an unrelated note im tryna figure out how to write smut for that fanfic and im gonna dm the creator of the original mini-comic for permission, along with the owner of one of the characters in said mini-comic that im trying to flesh out into a full character. shits gonna be awkward when i say "yeah so kanyes gonna be there too".

I mean, we already had fluffy satyrs. I think the main reasons they didn't take off was that the booru meta "silly" lore was "Aichi fucked a fluffy", and the hard lore was usually "Hasbio is just sellin' kids, now".

The concept itself is nothing to be worried about. I don't mind seeing animal humanoid as long as they focus on abuse and sadbox. What I really worry about is that they might focus more on humanoid or even porn. Abuse is the reason I like FP after all... But I respect artists' choices and I'll probably archive their artworks.
Right now I only share FP to a few Japanese people and I've got some positive reactions.

Also what is that lore...

The only thing I'm worried about when introducing fluffies to Japan is that they might start drawing animal_humanoid.

in concept the company that's selling mildly sapient creatures as pets starting to sell replacement children isn't too far of an idea, it's also, like, extremely passé. it's pretty much just retreading 2/3rds of AI/robot stories that have come out of Hollywood. and there just wasn't really anything to latch onto to explore that was really unique to the setting.

Ever read Nidome no Yuusha? It's sort of a revenge fantasy light novel which had some scenarios like that. I thought it was above average, though not perfect.

might be different per state (or possibly even by school district). places where the Mexican-American population is smaller might be different, but the Spanish classes I took in high school at least were majorly focused on the Latin American dialect of the language.

That's good to hear. I watch tiktok clips complaining about how school Spanish is completely useless when they travel to Latin America. (Obviously the complaints are for entertainment/comedy tho...)

I don't think My Little Pony got particularly popular over there either, to be fair.

fluffy pony was kind of a micro counter-cultural movement within/adjacent to the brony community. so, without being either being in the community or existing in the same spaces as said community (4chan) you likely weren't going to get brought into the the sub-community either.

That's a fair point and this is actually why I don't think FP is anti-mlp.
Japan has a similar niche fandom called yukkuri abuse and it didn't interest me as much as FP does because I'm not familiar with Touhou project.

I want to bring FP to Japanese communities some day. I know they're good at creating abuse stories.

Because nobody who speaks in non-English replied to my previous message? Also what do you mean? There are at least 3 people who understand Japanese and one guy used to blip in Japanese. My initial guess was one of us would be Hispanic or speaks Spanish at the least.
Anyways people can use a translator so I don't think there's no point in using Japanese.

Oh yeah I remember Ruppari speaks Finnish...

Interesting. What kind of linguistic talk you wanted to start initially?

pretty much what I already said. I just have a very strong opinion hyperfocused on the fact that english's has got a kinda dogshit selection of swears/exclamations in terms of how it "feels" to say them.

I feel like there's just a selection of situations/emotions that the standard "four letter words" don't cover because of their basic construction of flat inflection, single syllable (usually) words ending with a hard consonant, they're all very similar. english dosn't have any words that, like, trail off good, unless you just truncate the word at the vowel, and even then, ehh...

I will say that I have seen other people start to reembrace "golly" more widely which is a word whose phonetic construction is fairly unique among its peers.

Is that how Braixen speaks in Japanese?

I just picked two of the most different styles of speech I could think of in 10 seconds: vaguely proud older style and young girl with a speech impediment.
I think I've read a short comic in which a Braixen spoke like the latter though. Found it, post #2745823

So far I have over 2,066 listeners since year one. Not bad for an amateur… 😙

I'm not kidding when I say (and this might be evident by the length and weirdly passionate/opinionated tone of the response) I've wanted to bring up the topic of both linguistics and ice cream for, like, actually, actually over a year.
